At a pharmacy in Korea: prepare your question in your language

If Korean is unfamiliar, prepare the question you want to ask and a clear photo of your medicine packaging. Photo translation can help you understand text and communicate; ask the pharmacist to confirm the medicine and its instructions before using it.

Step by step

  1. Write what you need to ask in your own language and bring the original medicine package or a clear photo if available.
  2. Have relevant information ready for the pharmacist, such as allergies and medicines you already take.
  3. Use photo translation for readable package or sign text, then show the original to the pharmacist.
  4. Ask the pharmacist to confirm the exact product, whether a prescription is needed and how to use it.

Questions to bring with you

“Can you explain this label?” “Is this the same ingredient as my medicine?” “Do I need to see a doctor first?” These are conversation prompts, not a recommendation to select or substitute a medicine yourself.

A nearby listing is a starting point

Open the IMO picture menu if you want to look for a pharmacy. Check the pharmacy's actual opening hours and whether it can help with your question before going. A distance result does not establish stock, opening status or suitability.

Keep medical decisions with the professional

This guide prepares communication. A translated name alone does not establish that two medicines are interchangeable. Use the pharmacist's or clinician's guidance rather than a translated image to decide what medicine to take.
